What I learned today in the fancy French restaurant:

"Lardons" is French for "bacon cubes."

Makes sense, oui?

I only knew that because I have Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles cookbook. Which fancy French restaurant did you go to?

Yes, which fancy restaurant and when? I'm so jealous. Bacon...in cube form. Oh. My. God.

Badger, I got A Cook's Tour the other day. I can't wait to read it, I just love him. I wish No Reservations was on every day.

Capitol Brasserie (on Colorado where Mezzaluna used to be). Very nice and VERY good.
